Infosys Witnesses 76% Plunge in Campus Hiring for FY24, Recruits Just 11,900 Freshers

There has been a 76% decline in campus placements of Infosys, the country's second largest tech company. In this financial year 2024, about 11,900 students have been hired. At the same time, more than 50 thousand freshers were hired in the financial year 2023. This information has been given by Infosys CEO and MD Salil Parekh. This is the biggest decline in the last two decades. According to media reports, last year the company had 3 lakh 17 thousand employees. Since 2001, the number of Infosys employees has declined by 25,994.

Decline in the number of employees in Infosys

The annual report of tech company Infosys came on June 3. In this, the company's CEO Parekh said that we recruited about 11,900 college graduates last year and the total employees were 3 lakh 17 thousand. In such a situation, our attrition has decreased by 12.6%. The company has trained more than 2 lakh 50 thousand employees in AI skills. Also, we continue to focus on gender diversity, about 39% of our workforce consists of women employees. Let us tell you that Infosys did not do campus hiring for about 9 months last year.

The company changed its hiring model

The company's Chief Financial Officer Jayesh Sanghrajka said during a press conference in April that we have made a lot of changes in our hiring model. In such a situation, freshers are not hired from campus.
