Shocking Revelation Follows Table of 16 Loss in Women's Single Sabre Event
A strange incident has come to light in the Paris Olympics 2024. An athlete has made a very shocking revelation after losing in the Table of 16 of women's single saber. An Instagram post of an Egyptian fencer made headlines around the world. That Egyptian fencer is Nada Hafiz.
Many incidents are being heard in the Paris Olympics 2024. One of these was the general saber match being played on the third day, in which Egypt and the United States competed in the Table of 32 of women's sabre. Where the Egyptian fencer, Nada was successful in winning. After that, Egypt and South Korea competed in the Table of 16 of women's individual sabre. But in this, the Nana Hafez had to face defeat from the South Korean fencer. After this defeat, Nada revealed about her pregnancy which made headlines around the world.
Why Nada Hafiz come into the limelight?
After losing to a South Korean player in the Table of 16 of the women's individual sabre event, Nada Hafiz shared a post on Instagram in which she made a big revelation. She said that she is seven months pregnant. A few hours after the match, Nada posted on Instagram and wrote – “What appears to you as two players on the podium, they were actually three! It was me, my competitor, & my yet-to-come to our world, little baby!
My baby & I had our fair share of challenges, be it both physical & emotional. The rollercoaster of pregnancy is tough on its own, but having to fight to keep the balance of life & sports was nothing short of strenuous, however worth it.”
Nada Hafiz thanked her husband and family, who supported her completely. Nada writes in her post " I’m lucky to have shared the trust of my husband and that of my family to be able to come this far. This specific Olympics was different; Three times *Olympian* but this time carrying a little Olympian one!"
Nada Hafiz lost the second match after winning the first match
Nada Hafiz defeated Elizabeth Tartakovsky of USA 15-13 in her first match. But in the second match, she lost to Jeon Hyoung of Korea 7-15. This was Nada's third Olympic competition.
