JNV Samastipur Students Win Bihar's First-Ever State-Level Sports Quiz Competition
Over 100,000 Students Participated in Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025 as Bihar Becomes First State to Implement National Sports Knowledge Initiative;

The 'Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025' quiz competition, organized for the first time in Bihar, concluded successfully with the state level finals at the Patliputra Sports Complex today. As the chief guest, RERA Chairman Vivek Kumar Singh inaugurated today's final competition by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Director General cum Chief Executive Officer of Bihar State Sports Authority Ravindra Shankar, Director Ravindra Nath Choudhary, former Director of Sports Authority Sanjay Kumar, COO Rajnarayan of Extra C, Amitabh Ranjan and Quiz Master Aniket were also present.
In the finals held today, Zaifi Javed and Deepankar of JNV School Samastipur stood first, Amber Sinha and Isha Bhusha of St. Karens School, Patna stood second and Nyasha Srivastava and Rishabh Kumar of Cinderella English School, Darbhanga stood third. Chief Guest Vivek Kumar Singh honored and encouraged all the winners by giving them trophies.
Chief guest Vivek Kumar Singh while welcoming everyone, said in his address that this type of sports related quiz competition has been organized for the children of this school for the first time in Bihar. Its popularity and awareness among school children can be gauged from the fact that more than 1 lakh children from every corner of Bihar had registered for this competition. Village school children also participated in it enthusiastically and did quite well.
Before the state level final, competition was held at district and division level. There was online competition at district level and offline at division level. Written and stage round competition was held today as state level final among the winners of these competitions. He further said that quiz master Aniket lives abroad but has come to Patna specially to conduct this competition because he is also from Bihar.
This type of competition is not only increasing interest and awareness towards sports among the children of Bihar but is also playing a very important role in the development of sports culture in the state. Bihar is today hosting many national and international level competitions and by successfully organizing them, it is proving and strengthening the government's commitment to the development of sports and players.
Welcoming the people present, Director General cum Chief Executive Officer of Bihar State Sports Authority, Ravindran Shankar said that the state-wide 'Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025' is being organized with the aim of developing sports culture in the state and increasing interest in sports and sports knowledge among school children. In the Chintan Shivir held in Hyderabad, it was decided that the states should organize such programs among school children to encourage them towards sports.
It is a matter of great happiness and pride for us that Bihar is the first state in the country to do so. Playgrounds are being built in Bihar by linking the MNREGA scheme with sports and this achievement of Bihar has also become an example for other states, other states are imitating it.
This was a unique sports quiz competition in which students from class 6 to 12 of government and private schools of Bihar were participating. The objective of this competition is to provide students an opportunity to learn about various sports, achievements of players, history of sports, rules and interesting facts. Through this, participants will be able to develop competitiveness, quick decision-making and problem-solving skills.
This competition was organized by the Sports Department and Bihar State Sports Authority in collaboration with Extra C. Extra-C is a reputed non-profit organization dedicated to promoting extracurricular activities.
