Bihar Sports University Hosts National Conclave on Physical Education and Sports Science
Experts, academicians, and policymakers to discuss emerging trends, sports sciences, and performance analysis in a two-day event on March 20-21.;
A two-day national conclave on the subject of physical education and sports science is being organized on 20-21 March at Bihar Sports University. The inauguration of the conclave will be held on March 20 at 10:15 am. In this conclave, academicians, policy makers and sports experts of physical education and sports science from different parts of the country will participate and brainstorm.
From 12 noon, the keynote speaker Maj. Gen. S. N. Mukherjee (Ex Vice- Chancellor, LNIPE, Gwalior) will discuss Emerging Courses in Physical Education and Sports Sciences in a Specific Reference to BSUR. In Technical Session 1, Dr. Lalit Sharma (Professor Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Delhi University), Dr. Vikram Singh (Professor, BHU) etc. will participate. On 21st March, Technical Session-6 will be addressed by Roshan Kumar (Head of Operations SPAAB, Patna) in which he will discuss Meeting Contemporary Demands in Sports Sciences, Building a Strong Performance Analysis Ecosystem through Integration of Allied Sports Science Disciplines. After this, Vice Chancellor of Bihar Sports University, Rajgir, Shishir Sinha will address at 4.15 pm.
The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has considered the application of Bihar Sports University, Rajgir for granting membership of AIU. It will be implemented in the Eastern region from 1st April. It is worth noting that the General Body of the Association had approved it in the 84th Annual Meeting (Business Session) on 14th November, 2009.
