BCCI Announces Rs 125 Crore Reward for T20 World Cup 2024 Winners

Players to Receive Rs 5 Crore Each; Coaching Staff and Support Personnel Also Rewarded

The Board of Control for Cricket in India had announced a cash prize of Rs 125 crore for the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup. Out of this Rs 125 crore, 15 players will get Rs 5 crore each. While these include three players who did not get a chance to play a single match. According to a report, four reserve players including Rinku Singh and Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Khalil Ahmed will also get Rs 1 crore.

Coaching staff will get Rs 2.5 crore each

Along with head coach Rahul Dravid, the rest of the coaching staff batting coach Vikram Rathore, fielding coach T Dilip, bowling coach Paras Mahambre will get Rs 2.5 crore each. The rest of the backroom staff will also be rewarded. Three physiotherapists, three throwdown specialists, two massage therapists and strength and conditioning coach will get Rs 2 crore each.

The three physiotherapists include Kamlesh Jain, Yogesh Parmar and Tulsi Ram Yuvraj. The three throwdown specialists are Raghavendra Davgi, Nuwan Udeenke and Dayanand Garani. Two massage therapists are Rajiv Kumar, Arun Kanade and Soham Desai are strength and conditioning coaches.

Selection committee will also get reward

Apart from this, five members including BCCI Senior Selection Committee Chairman Ajit Agarkar will get Rs 1 crore each.

India won the T20 World Cup for the second time

Team India won the T20 World Cup on 29 June 2024. Team India has become champion in this tournament after 17 years. Earlier it was made in 2007. Along with this, India has ended the 11-year ICC trophy drought. India defeated South Africa by 7 runs in the final match at the Barbados ground.

15-member Indian team in T20 World Cup 2024: Rohit Sharma (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Shivam Dubey, Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Mohammed Siraj.

Traveling Reserve: Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Shubman Gill.
