Water Resources Minister Distributes Appointment Letters to 14 Employees Appointed on Compassionate Grounds

Water Resources Minister Shri Vijay Kumar Chaudhary distributed appointment letters to 14 employees appointed on compassionate grounds as lower division clerks in the Water Resources Department of Bihar Government. 

In a simple ceremony organized at Irrigation Bhawan, Patna on Wednesday for distribution of appointment letters, Principal Secretary of Water Resources Department Shri Santosh Kumar Malla, Additional Secretary Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Chief Engineer of Flood Control and Water Drainage Shri Manoj Raman, Chief Engineer of Planning and Monitoring Shri Sanjay Kumar Ojha and many other senior officials were present.

On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Shri Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said that providing relief to the families affected by disaster and calamity as soon as possible is the top priority of the state government. Congratulating and wishing all the newly appointed employees on compassionate grounds, he said that the Water Resources Department has appointed you by disposing of your case with promptness, sensitivity and transparency, it is expected from you that all of you will discharge your responsibilities with the same promptness and honesty and enhance the prestige of the department. He expressed confidence that the new appointments will speed up the pace of execution of departmental works.

Principal Secretary Shri Santosh Kumar Malla, Additional Secretary Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sinha and other senior officials were thanked for speedy disposal of cases of compassionate appointment in the Water Resources Department.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary Shri Santosh Kumar Malla said that the intention of the state government is clear, the families of those government employees who have died untimely during service should be provided relief as soon as possible. 

The Water Resources Department of the state government is also standing with the families of its employees in times of crisis. In a similar program last November, 37 employees appointed on various posts on compassionate grounds were given appointment letters by the Hon'ble Water Resources Minister. At the end of the program, Additional Secretary Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sinha expressed his gratitude.
