Uttar Pradesh May Soon Get a New District: Farenda Could Become the 76th District
Proposal to Create Farenda District Raises Strategic Importance and Local Objections in Maharajganj
There is big news for the people of Uttar Pradesh. UP may soon get a new district. The name of this district can be Farenda. This district can also be named Veer Bahadur Singh Janpad. If this plan is implemented, the number of districts in UP will soon reach 76. Currently, there are a total of 75 districts in UP. According to the report, the Revenue Council has asked the Commissioner Gorakhpur to submit a report regarding the new district.
According to the report, the Commissioner and Secretary of the State Revenue Council have written a letter to the DM of Gorakhpur. The DM will send this report to the Revenue Council through the Commissioner.
There is a plan to make Farenda district by combining 3 tehsils of Maharajganj and Gorakhpur. This includes two tehsils of Maharajganj, Farenda, Nautanwa and one tehsil of Gorakhpur, Campierganj. Farenda is also known as Anandnagar.
These towns are near the Nepal border. Therefore, they are very important from a strategic point of view. According to sources, the governments of China and Pakistan have a lot of influence on Nepal. Therefore, it becomes necessary to keep a special eye on this area. This area has also been the area of work of CM Yogi Adityanath.
The Maharajganj administration has raised objections to the plan to create this district. The administration says that if two tehsils go to Farenda, then Maharajganj will be left with only two tehsils, Sadar and Nichlaul. Whereas any district should have at least 3 tehsils.
At present, Sambhal is the newest district of UP. Kanpur Nagar and Kanpur Dehat, Auraiya, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Hapur and Amethi are some of the new districts. The 75 districts of UP have been divided into 18 divisions. According to the 2011 population report, 19.95 crore people live in Uttar Pradesh. The area is 240,928 square kilometers.
