LUDHIANA — Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann of Punjab and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi joined forces on Sunday to introduce the "Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar" initiative. This pioneering scheme aims to deliver 43 citizen-centric services directly to people's doorsteps, marking a significant step towards more effective, transparent, and responsive governance.
The comprehensive list of services includes birth and death certificates, income certificates, pension disbursements, electricity bill payments, and various social justice schemes. The initiative assures hassle-free access to Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services through Door-Step Delivery (DSD). Citizens can simply call the dedicated helpline number 1076, schedule an appointment, and have specially trained personnel complete necessary paperwork at their homes or offices.
The scheme not only enhances convenience but also tackles middlemen involvement, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric governance. The official statement emphasizes that citizens can utilize the Door-Step Delivery Service through both Sewa Kendras and the dedicated helpline number starting December 10.
As part of their commitment to facilitating citizens, the Chief Ministers flagged off Mobile Sahayaks to further assist people in availing the benefits of this groundbreaking scheme. This initiative underscores the governments' dedication to simplifying routine administrative tasks and fostering direct engagement between citizens and public services.
