PM Modi launches 6 new Vande Bharat Express trains, dedicates railway projects worth Rs 650 crore to the nation. CM Nitish Kumar joins via video conferencing from Patna.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched six new Vande Bharat Express trains via video conferencing from Ranchi Airport in Jharkhand on September 15, 2024. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joined the event from 'Sankalp' in Patna.
The six new trains launched today will connect various cities across the country, including Bhagalpur-Howrah, Gaya-Howrah, Tatanagar-Patna, Deoghar-Varanasi, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, and Rourkela-Howrah.
During the event, PM Modi also laid the foundation stone and dedicated railway projects worth over Rs 650 crore to the nation. These projects aim to improve the rail infrastructure in the region and enhance connectivity.
The projects include the Madhupur Bypass rail line, four rail underbridges, Kukur-Kanaro Double Track, and Hazaribagh Town Coaching Depot. These initiatives will not only boost economic growth but also provide better transportation facilities to the people.
The event began with a welcome address by DRM Jayant Kumar Chaudhary, who presented a green plant and a shawl to CM Nitish Kumar. A short film on railway projects was also showcased during the event.
Present at the event were Deputy CMs Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Chief Secretary Dr. S. Siddharth, and other railway officials.
This launch is a significant step towards improving the rail network in the country and providing world-class facilities to passengers. The Vande Bharat Express trains are known for their speed, comfort, and modern amenities, and will surely benefit the people of the region.
