Niti Aayog Hosts National Workshop for MSMEs: Empowering Entrepreneurs"

New Delhi: The Fourth National Chief Secretary physical workshop, organized by Niti Aayog, brought together micro, small, and medium-sized entrepreneurs (MSMEs) at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, to discuss key issues and opportunities for growth.
The workshop, held on August 30, 2024, focused on urban services, the gig economy, and social security concerns, with experts and stakeholders sharing their insights and experiences. Notably, the event provided a platform for representatives from various states to share their initiatives and best practices.
From Bihar, Aditya Rajhans, Additional Labour Commissioner, highlighted the state's efforts in supporting gig workers. The initiatives mentioned included the Shatabdi Yojana, Pravasi Yojana, and Ease of Doing Business in Bihar, which have been instrumental in facilitating the growth of MSMEs.
"The Shatabdi Yojana has provided financial assistance to thousands of entrepreneurs, while the Pravasi Yojana has helped migrant workers access employment opportunities," Aditya Rajhans explained. "Additionally, Bihar's Ease of Doing Business initiative has simplified regulatory procedures, making it easier for MSMEs to operate and thrive."
The workshop aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among MSMEs, policymakers, and industry experts, paving the way for a more conducive business environment.
Aditya Rajhans expressed gratitude to the Labour Resources Department, Labour Commissioner, and Alok Sir for the opportunity to represent Bihar at the national workshop.
This event underscores the government's commitment to empowering MSMEs and addressing their concerns, ensuring they continue to play a vital role in India's economic growth," said CEO of Niti Aayog.
The workshop concluded with a call to action, urging stakeholders to work together to create a supportive ecosystem for MSMEs to grow and flourish.
In attendance were representatives from various state governments, MSME associations, and industry experts, making it a diverse and inclusive platform for discussion and knowledge-sharing.
