In a program organized on the occasion of World Homeopathy Day, Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that a new homeopathy college and hospital will soon be established in South Bihar. He said that this institute will start in the current financial year itself. A new homeopathy college is going to be established in the state after 64 years. Addressing the birth anniversary celebration and scientific seminar of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann organized by the State Ayush Committee at the Energy Auditorium in Shastrinagar of the city on Thursday, the Health Minister said that the popularity of homeopathy medical system is increasing rapidly. 86 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will be built in the state. The minister said that the construction work of a modern 200-bed homeopathy hospital in Muzaffarpur at a cost of Rs 121 crore is in the final stage. It will also be inaugurated soon. So far it is the only government homeopathy hospital in the state. He said that just as the birth anniversary of Homeopathy Dr. Samuel Hahnemann is celebrated, similarly the birth anniversary of Babu Rajendra Lal Dutta, who is considered the father of Homeopathy in India and B. Bhattacharya, who laid its foundation in Bihar, should also be celebrated. He said that the double engine government is committed to providing better health services to the society. New experiments are being done every day to provide better health facilities to the society. New schemes are being run. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is working day and night for a healthy and developed Bihar.
He said that after allopathy, if any medical system has the highest acceptance in the society, then it is homeopathy. It is economical as well as effective. People from economically weaker sections have easy faith in it. The minister said that about 200 patients come for treatment every day in the 10-bed Homeopathy Hospital located at Kadamkuan in Patna. 2901 AYUSH doctors have been appointed in the state in January this year, out of which 951 are homeopathy doctors.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Department Pratyaya Amrit praised the role of AYUSH medical system during COVID-19. He said that people have benefited from homeopathy medicines during Corona. The government will try to ensure that AYUSH sector gets equal priority as other sectors. During this program, 12 homeopathy doctors who have done excellent work in the AYUSH sector were honored. Along with this, information about the latest research and medical benefits related to homeopathy was also shared on this occasion.
On this occasion, Health Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, Executive Director of State AYUSH Committee Dr. Aditya Prakash, OSD Gunjan Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Ayushman Bharat Shashank Shekhar Sinha and many other dignitaries were present.
