New direction of development in Bihar: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gifts schemes worth Rs 1500 crore to Darbhanga district

The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 186 schemes, which include Bal Ashray Grih, Makhana Bhandar Grih, and other developmental projects.;

Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today gifted schemes worth about Rs 1500 crore to Darbhanga district in the course of Pragati Yatra. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone by unveiling the plaques related to 186 schemes. This includes the inauguration of 89 schemes for Rs 935.28 crore and the foundation stone laying of 97 schemes for Rs 561.75 crore.

In the course of Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed large shelter home building of 200 houses in Mauja Manihas of Darbhanga district under the Chief Minister Bal Ashray Vikas Yojana under Darbhanga district through remote. During this, the Chief Minister inspected the large shelter home premises and the Common Facility Center and took stock of the facilities provided. During this, a short film based on the newly constructed large shelter home Darbhanga was screened in front of the Chief Minister. Giving information about the large shelter home, the officials told the Chief Minister that this large shelter home has been built on 5 acres of land, in which accommodation for 100 boys and 100 girls as well as accommodation for service providers has been ensured. 32 CCTV cameras have been installed in the courtyard of the newly constructed large shelter home from the security point of view. Adequate number of street lights have been installed. Fire fighting alarms and smoke alarms have also been installed.


After this, the Chief Minister inspected the Chandrasar pond in Simri located in Singhwada block. During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that this is a very big pond, which is located in 52 bighas. Keeping in mind the convenience of the people, get a stepped ghat constructed around it and also get dense tree plantation done. During this, the Chief Minister provided a symbolic cheque of assistance grant under the Makhana Vikas Yojana to the beneficiaries for the construction of Makhana Bhandar Grih. The Chief Minister talked to the people associated with the Singhwada Block Matsyajivi Sahayog Samiti. During this, the Chief Minister was felicitated by the Singhwada Block Matsyajivi Sahayog Samiti by presenting a memento to him.

After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Sudha Dairy Booth in the premises of Panchayat Government Building Simri by cutting the ribbon. The Chief Minister also inspected the Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society Limited built in the premises of Panchayat Government Building Simri. During this, the Chief Minister provided the cheque for paddy procurement being done by PACS to the beneficiaries. The Chief Minister inaugurated the branch of Punjab National Bank and Anganwadi Center in the premises of Panchayat Government Building, Simri by cutting the ribbon. The Chief Minister inspected the Health and Wellness Center located in the premises of Panchayat Government Building Simri and took stock of the medical consultation room, pre-natal checkup etc. The Chief Minister also inspected the Gram Panchayat Government Building Simri and took information about the court room, library etc. 


The Chief Minister inaugurated the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Singhwada in the premises of Madhya Vidyalaya Simri by Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited through remote. The Chief Minister observed the Judo Karate (self) training being taken by the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and inquired about it from the officials. The Chief Minister, while talking to the girls receiving self training, praised them and congratulated them. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various developmental schemes under Darbhanga district in the premises of Plus Two High School Simri through remote. The District Magistrate presented the Chief Minister with a booklet related to the developmental schemes inaugurated and laid the foundation stone.

The Chief Minister visited the stalls set up by Jeevika Didi and various departments in the High School Simri campus. During the inspection, the Chief Minister provided a symbolic cheque of Rs 9 crore 87 lakh 86 thousand to a total of 2391 families under the Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, a symbolic cheque of Rs 284 crore 79 lakh to 23384 Jeevika Self Help Groups and a total of 93536 Jeevika Didi related to the group for the financial facility received from the bank in the form of credit linkage. Along with this, the Chief Minister provided the key of Jeevika Bhawan, the key of the vehicle supported under the Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, a symbolic cheque of the amount provided under the Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme, Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card, the key of the goat shed constructed by MNREGA under the Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, the key of the house constructed under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme, a symbolic cheque of the Intercaste Marriage Incentive Grant Scheme to the beneficiaries. During this, the Chief Minister, while talking to the Jeevika sisters, said that all of you are doing a very good job. Wherever we go, we definitely talk to the Jeevika sisters associated with the self-help group. Jeevika sisters are working very hard by joining self-help groups. This is increasing their income. Along with this, their respect in the family and society has also increased. Where earlier women used to be shy to go out of the house, now they are not only going out of the house without hesitation, but are also playing an important role in the maintenance of their family by joining many types of businesses. We gave the name Jeevika to the women associated with self-help groups. Inspired by our work, the central government of that time named it Ajeevika. All of you should not forget this. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the playground constructed at a cost of Rs 9.95 lakh in the premises of Plus Two Vasudev High School of Gram Panchayat Simri under MNREGA scheme through remote.

The Chief Minister inspected the site in view of the proposal to develop the New Bus Stand at Delhi Mor in Darbhanga as a proposed international/interstate bus stop and to connect the Darbhanga Bus Stand to the civil enclave of Darbhanga Airport. The officials gave detailed information to the Chief Minister about parking, passenger luggage facility, charging point, office building etc. through the building format and map of the proposed Darbhanga Bus Stand. During this, the Chief Minister provided symbolic cheque of Chief Minister Block Transport Scheme and vehicle keys to the beneficiaries. A short film prepared in reference to the proposed Darbhanga bus stop was screened before the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister inspected Harahi, Digdhi, Ganga Sagar ponds. While giving instructions to the officials during the inspection, the Chief Minister said that the three ponds should be inter-connected. These three ponds are located nearby. Get a stepped ghat constructed around it so that people can reach the water conveniently.

After this, the Chief Minister inspected the site in view of the problem of jam at the railway crossing located at Donar Chowk in Darbhanga. During this, the officials informed the Chief Minister about the construction of ROB including approach road in lieu of Level Crossing No. 25 SPL between Darbhanga-Laheriyasarai railway station on State Highway No. 56 under Darbhanga district at a cost of Rs 134.67 crore. Construction of ROB at a cost of Rs 70 crore including approach road in lieu of level crossing number-10 between Mohammadpur-Kamtoul railway station on State Highway number-75 under Darbhanga district, bypass road from the path (HH-56) near Asma bridge (Darbhanga to Kusheshwar Sthan) under the proposed Benipur area to Dhaboliya (Kusheshwar Sthan-Phultoda Ghat road), construction work of elevated road from DMCH to Amas-Darbhanga Bharatmala Project (near As village), elevated road from proposed Ekmi Ghat Chowk to Benta Chowk via Laheriyasarai Tower and construction work of accused path in lieu of LC number 2 SPL between Darbhanga-Mohammadpur railway stations were also informed to the Chief Minister through route drawing.

The Chief Minister reviewed the model proposal for the construction of various roads and flyovers to solve the problem of traffic and jam in the city at Karpuri Chowk in Darbhanga. After this, the Chief Minister visited Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital and reviewed the current condition of the roads for movement. The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Senior Superintendent of Police office building in Darbhanga district and the administrative building at Police Center Darbhanga through remote at a cost of Rs 9.56 crore. During this, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed Senior Superintendent of Police office building and reviewed the visitor room, postal cell etc. From the Senior Superintendent of Police office premises, Darbhanga, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of a total of 12 police buildings including 200 Mahila Constable Barracks, Model Police Station Building Fekla, Model Police Station Building Tilkeshwar, Model Police Station Bhanv Moro, Model Police Station Building Lalit Narayan Mithila University and Model Police Station Building Badgaon in Darbhanga district at a cost of Rs 37.41 crore through remote. The Chief Minister garlanded the life-size statue of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar installed near the District Guest House.
