"My Maharashtra Will Do This? Something is Wrong": Uddhav Thackeray Reacts to Mahayuti's Victory
Unexpected results in Maharashtra assembly elections prompt Uddhav Thackeray to question outcomes while accepting public mandate.
Mahayuti has got a big victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections. Uddhav faction's Shiv Sena and the entire Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) have not done anything special. Uddhav Thackeray held a press conference after Shiv Sena (UBT) lost the assembly elections. During this, Thackeray said, 'Today the results of the assembly elections were not at all expected. Thanks to those who voted for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).'
Uddhav Thackeray said, 'I don't think my Maharashtra will do this. Something is wrong. The decision regarding our party's name and election symbol has not come yet. All this is expected, but the result has come. It has to be accepted.'
Along with this, Uddhav said, 'I will say again. The decision is unexpected. People came to our election rally too, Modi ji's rally was empty. People were leaving in the middle of the speech. Now if there is some difference in the record going forward, then something is wrong.
Uddhav Thackeray said, 'On what basis has this result come? I don't know but we have to think. Some people are calling it a victory of EVM. We cannot say anything right now but if the public accepts the decision then we also accept it.'
Along with this, Uddhav Thackeray said that someone from BJP will become the Chief Minister. This is what I expect. Uddhav said, 'Now if he wins, congratulations to him. Now I think we will work on Laadli Behan, the Kisan issue, everything. The Election Commission had banned this. Now I hope, it will be started.'
