Mustafabad Building Collapse: Four Dead as Four-Story Building Collapses in Delhi's New Mustafabad

A major accident has happened in New Mustafabad, Delhi, where a 4-storey building collapsed. 4 people died in this accident. At the same time, 8 to 10 people are feared to be trapped under the debris. NDRF and fire department employees have recovered 4 bodies from the debris. Relief work is going on by the rescue team.

The incident of collapse of a four-storey building is from Shakti Vihar in New Mustafabad. The fire department received information about the collapse of the building at 2:50 am on Friday and Saturday night. After receiving the information, the Delhi Fire Service Department immediately sent fire tenders and NDRF teams to the spot. More than 40 people of the rescue team are engaged in relief work.

Divisional Fire Officer Rajendra Atwal said, "We received information about a house collapse at around 2:50 am. We reached the spot and found that the entire building had collapsed and we received information about people being trapped under the debris. NDRF, Delhi Fire Service are working to rescue people."

According to Delhi Police, out of the 10 people who were rescued, 4 have died. Rescue operations are still underway. Additional DCP of North East District Sandeep Lamba said that 8 to 10 people are likely to be trapped in the debris. Around 20 people lived in the four-storey building. The incident of the building collapse has been captured on camera.

Shahzad Ahmed, a relative of one of the deceased, said, "This building collapsed at around 2.30-3 am. It was a four-storey building. Two of my nephews have died. My sister, brother-in-law and niece are also injured. They are admitted in GTB Hospital." An eyewitness to the building collapse said, "Two men, two daughters-in-law, their families and tenants live here. The eldest daughter-in-law has three children, the second daughter-in-law also has three children. We don't know anything right now. They are nowhere to be seen.
