Major Decision by Nitish Kumar-led Bihar Cabinet: ₹1 Lakh to be Provided to Landless to Buy Land
Bihar Cabinet approves 38 proposals, including financial aid for landless citizens, 3% DA hike for employees, and new rules for social media content monitoring.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's government has taken many big decisions in the cabinet meeting held on Thursday, November 14. According to the report, a total of 38 proposals have been approved in the meeting. This includes proposals like giving one lakh rupees to the landless, increasing the DA of state employees by 3 percent and making new rules to curb social media.
According to media reports, the state government has decided to give one lakh rupees to the landless people. This money will be given to buy land for the house. Earlier under this scheme, people of rural areas were given 3 decimal lands for housing. In this, Raiti land was purchased. However, the government found in the investigation that there is a problem in buying land at MVR rates. Therefore, the government has now decided to give an amount of one lakh rupees to the landless instead of land. With this amount, 3 to 5 decimal lands can be purchased.
This meeting started at 11.30 am in the CM Secretariat. In this, it was decided to increase the dearness allowance of the state government employees. The government has increased DA by 3 percent. This increase will be given to the employees under the Seventh Pay Commission. This increase will be applicable from July 1, 2024.
153 new posts have been approved to strengthen the police force in the state. These include 3 DSPs, 3 Inspectors, 9 Sub Inspectors and 18 posts of Assistant Sub Inspector of Police. Apart from this, 120 constables will be recruited. The government has also made new rules for monitoring social media and online content.
