Lalu Prasad Yadav Asserts: "We Will Get Caste Census Done by Holding RSS/BJP’s Ears

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has issued an official statement regarding the caste census. Lalu said, “We will force them (central government) so much that they will have to do caste census. The political atmosphere in the country is heated regarding the caste census. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav has given a big statement. Lalu said, “We will get the caste census done by holding the ears of these RSS/BJP people and making them do sit-ups.” Lalu further said, what is their status that they will not get caste census done?

These people do not want the census to be conducted, otherwise the BJP would not have brought people to court again and again. We have asked questions in Parliament several times, it is clear from their answers that they do not want to conduct caste census. Their words are one thing, their actions are another.

In response to a question, Tejashwi said that they (the Center) have nothing to do with reservation. These people want to change Baba Saheb's Constitution. Their real agenda is to change the Constitution only.

Earlier on Monday, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) also had a statement on the caste census. The RSS had expressed its concerns about the caste census to maintain the unity and integrity of the society. The Sangh said, it has been discussed under Panch Parivartan, and the organization has decided that work will be done to promote harmony at the mass level. RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said that caste reactions are a sensitive issue in our society and it is important for national integration. He clarified that caste census should not be used for election campaign and electoral purposes.

Earlier, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had also stated on caste census. Sharing a survey of India Today on the social media platform 'X', Rahul wrote, 'Modi ji, if you are thinking of stopping the caste census then you are dreaming. No power can stop it now! Hindustan's order has come - soon 90% of Indians will support and demand caste census. Implement the order now, or you will see the next Prime Minister doing it.
