A joint inspection was conducted today by officials from Patna and Bhojpur districts to identify solutions to traffic congestion in the border areas of the two districts. The inspection was carried out as per the instructions of Shri Amrit Lal Meena, Chief Secretary, Bihar.


The team, comprising officials from the police, administration, and mining departments, assessed the feasibility of setting up a control room and barrier to monitor and regulate traffic movement. The team identified locations for installing vertical height barriers at Koilwar Bridge in Bihat to prevent trucks from moving in the wrong direction.


The team included Sub-Divisional Officer, Danapur; Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Danapur-2; Station House Officer, Bihta; Mining Inspector, Bihta; and Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Koilwar, Station House Officer, Koilwar, and District Mining Officer, Bhojpur.


According to the District Magistrate, Patna, the state government is committed to providing better transportation facilities to citizens. To achieve this goal, officials have been instructed to implement both short-term and long-term traffic management solutions.


A control room will be set up at the Bihat-Bhojpur border to monitor traffic movement, with representatives from the police and mining departments. The proposal for setting up the control room and barrier will be prepared and sent for approval. A decision will be taken in the public interest at the earliest.
