In the 78th Independence Day speech from the Red Fort Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned about the incidents that happened in Bangladesh. He said that the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh should be ensured. PM Modi said that we want happiness and peace for our neighbors. He described the situation in Bangladesh as worrying. Neighborhood First has a special place in India's foreign policy. In this way, it advocates good relations with its neighbors. But the situation in Bangladesh is troubling it.

PM Modi gave a message to the Chief Adviser of the interim government in Bangladesh from the ramparts of the Red Fort that India is its well-wisher and it should follow the path of happiness and peace. Along with this, PM Modi expressed concern over targeting Hindus in the violence that took place there after the departure of Sheikh Hasina's government. He demanded that Bangladesh to ensure the safety of Hindus. He said that what is happening in Bangladesh is worrying.

He said, "As a neighboring country we are concerned about whatever has happened in Bangladesh. I can understand this. I hope that the situation there will be normal soon." He said that 140 crore countrymen are concerned that the safety of Hindus and minorities there should be ensured." He said that India always wants our neighboring countries to walk on the path of happiness and peace. We are committed to peace. In the coming days, our good wishes will always be there in Bangladesh's development journey.

This is the second time after August 5 that the Prime Minister has expressed concern over the situation in Bangladesh. Earlier, PM Modi had called and congratulated Mohammad Yunus on taking charge of the interim government. During this, he had expressed concern over the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. He had appealed to Yunus to ensure the safety of Hindus.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh interim government chief Mohammad Yunus will meet in Thailand on the 4th of next month. A meeting can happen. It is expected that both the leaders will go to attend the BIMSTEC summit and both can meet there. If the leaders of both the countries meet, then this will be the first official meeting between the two countries after the change of government in Bangladesh.

India is concerned about the events happening in Bangladesh. India is worried about the way international conspiracy is being talked about there. India's main concern is China's activity in the Bay of Bengal. It has gained control over many ports in Myanmar and Sri Lanka. It is eyeing a deep sea port near the Andaman Nicobar Islands. This is also a cause of worry for India. For India, which is struggling with neighbors like China and Pakistan, disturbed Bangladesh can be the third front of trouble.
