The Indian Army is on alert after the Pahalgam terror attack. The soldiers are searching and encountering the criminals in the forests of Jammu and Kashmir. The Army blasted and demolished the houses of 6 terrorists - Asif, Adil, Haris of Lashkar, Ahsan ul Haq of Jaish, Zakir and Shahid Ahmed in 48 hours. Also, the security forces killed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET)'s top commander Altaf Lali. All the 6 terrorists are absconding since the attack. A case has been registered against all of them. The Army is searching for them.

A terror attack took place in Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley on April 22. The terrorists killed 26 innocent people by firing bullets. It is alleged that Asif Sheikh, Adil Thoker, Haris Ahmed of Lashkar, Ahsan ul Haq of Jaish, Zakir Ahmed Ganai and Shahid Ahmed were involved in the attack. All the terrorists are associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. All are accused of plotting the Pahalgam attack and helping Pakistani terrorists in carrying it out. All are absconding since the attack.

The army has been in action since the attack. Search operations are going on in the forests. Army personnel took major action during search operations in Tral, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian on Friday. Security forces demolished the houses of Adil Gojri in Bijbehara, Asif Sheikh in Tral, Ahsan Sheikh in Pulwama, Shahid Kutte in Shopian, Zakir Ahmed Ganai in Kulgam and Haris Ahmed in Pulwama.

Ehsan Ahmed Sheikh has been an active terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba since June 2023. Jaish's Ahsan returned from Pakistan after training in 2018. The names of Asif and Adil had surfaced in the Pahalgam attack. Both work for Lashkar.

Medical emergency has been imposed in Jammu and Kashmir. Leave of doctors and staff has been cancelled. A control room has been set up which will monitor the situation 24/7.
