India Suspends Visa Services for Pakistani Nationals with Immediate Effect
Most Existing Visas Cancelled from April 27 as Medical Visas Extended Only Until April 29; Diplomatic and Long-Term Visas Exempted;

In the light of the order No. 25022/28/2025-F.I, dated 25.04.2025 received from Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, it has been decided to suspend visa services (except long term, diplomatic visas and official visas) of Pakistani nationals using powers conferred under Section 3(1) of the Foreigners Act, 1946. Earlier instructions regarding cancellation of SAARC visas for Pakistani nationals were issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on 24.04.2025.
All the present valid visas issued to Pakistani nationals by the Government of India, (except Medical Visa, Long Term Visa (LTV), Diplomatic and Official Visa) have been cancelled with immediate effect from 27th April 2025. Medical Visa issued to Pakistani nationals will remain valid only till 29th April 2025. No new visa will be issued in this regard. This order will not apply to Long Term Visa (LTV) and Diplomatic and Official Visa issued to Pakistani nationals. The status of visas issued to Pakistani nationals is given in the Appendix in the form of a table.
In this regard, the Home Department, Government of Bihar has directed all the District Officers/Senior Superintendents of Police/Superintendents of Police in the State to ensure compliance of the said order.
