After the 'Pahalgam terror attack', India's 'Modi government' is in action mode. The central government is taking tough decisions to teach Pakistan a lesson. India has made it clear that terrorism will no longer be tolerated. Pakistan will have to pay a heavy price for it. On Thursday (24 April), the social media platform 'X' handle of the Pakistan government has been blocked in India. X has taken action on the appeal of the IT Ministry.

Indus Water Treaty suspended

5 major decisions were taken in the CCS meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday (23 April). India has suspended the Indus Water Treaty. Attari check post has been closed. SAARC visa exemption scheme has also been cancelled. Pakistani military advisors have been declared 'persona non grata'. The number of employees in high commissions has been reduced.

Chaos in Pakistan

India's decisions have caused chaos in Pakistan. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has announced to convene a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) on Thursday. In this meeting, he has discussed India's steps and said that they will give a proper reply. Khawaja Asif claims that India alone cannot cancel the Indus Water Treaty, because many international parties including the World Bank are involved in it.

Attari-Wagah border closed, Bhopal family returns

The Indian government has decided to close the Attari-Wagah border with immediate effect after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Under this decision, visas of Pakistani citizens have been canceled and they have been instructed to leave India within 48 hours. A family from Bhopal had to return. The family had reached the Attari-Wagah border to go to Pakistan to meet their relatives. The Border Security Force (BSF) turned them back.
