Eric Agard Creates History in Indian Crossword League 2024, Wins Seven Online Rounds; Ramki Leads Overall Standings

The Indian Crossword League (IXL), a globally renowned contest that has been captivating crossword enthusiasts for over a decade, has set a new milestone in its 12th edition. For the first time, a contestant from abroad has claimed victory in seven out of ten online rounds, raising the bar for performance and setting high expectations for the Grand Finale.

Eric Agard, Crossword Editor at Apple News Plus, triumphed in the final weekly online round of IXL 2024, securing his place in history as the first contestant to achieve such a feat. Sowmya Ramkumar from Manama, Bahrain, finished in second place, while Ramki Krishnan, a tech consultant based in Chennai, took third.
