Patna Meeting Reports ₹598.04 Lakh Compensation Disbursed to 802 Victims and Employment Provided to 8 Dependents in 2024
On Tuesday, a meeting of the District Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee constituted under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 was held in the auditorium located at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Shri Chandrashekhar Singh. This meeting was the fourth meeting of the calendar year 2024.
Hon'ble MLA, Phulwari Sharif, Shri Gopal Ravidas, Hon'ble MLA, Paliganj, Shri Sandeep Saurabh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna Shri Rajiv Mishra, Deputy Development Commissioner, Additional Collector (Special Program), Additional Collector (Revenue), District Welfare Officer, all Sub-Divisional Officers including other officers and respected members of the committee were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the District Welfare Officer presented a detailed physical and financial report before the committee. He informed that:
1. In the calendar year 2024, a total compensation of Rs 598.04 lakh was paid to 802 victims.
2. In the year 2024, pension is being paid to 87 pensioners, whose payment till the month of November has been completed.
3. Under the provisions of the Act, a total of 08 dependents have been provided government jobs, whose posting has been ensured.
The District Officer directed all the concerned officers to expedite the compliance of the provisions of the Act and provide timely assistance to the beneficiaries. Finally, the proceedings of the meeting were concluded with the permission of the District Officer.
