Delhi PWD Allots CM Residence Amidst Allegations of Forced Eviction; AAP Targets LG VK Saxena
The controversy over the Chief Minister's residence in Delhi is now over. On Friday, Delhi's Public Works Department (PWD) officially allotted 6 Flagstaff Road bungalow in Civil Lines to Chief Minister Atishi. Let us tell you that earlier the Aam Aadmi Party had alleged that this bungalow has been forcibly vacated from CM Atishi and her belongings have also been taken out.
Delhi's PWD department has also issued a notice regarding the allotment of residence to CM Atishi. The department's notice states that after completing the proper process of handover and preparation of inventory, CM Atishi has been formally allotted a bungalow in Civil Lines.
Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal vacated the 6 Flagstaff Road bungalow a few days ago and moved to a new residence in Lutyens Delhi. According to the information, CM Atishi started living on Monday. However, the PWD department had sealed the official residence of the Chief Minister of Delhi on charges of illegal use.
Aam Aadmi Party had alleged that Chief Minister Atishi was forcibly evicted from the bungalow. Atishi's belongings have also been thrown out of the CM residence. Amidst this entire controversy, the party has shared a video of CM Atishi in which she was seen working amidst the scattered belongings in the room. Aam Aadmi Party had targeted Delhi LG VK Saxena over this entire controversy. On the other hand, BJP had claimed that the bungalow is yet to be handed over to the Public Works Department (PWD) for new allotment.
