Complaints Lodged at Three Delhi Police Stations Against Rahul Gandhi Over Reservation Remarks
BJP files complaints following Rahul Gandhi's controversial statement on SC-ST and OBC reservation during Washington DC speech
BJP has filed 3 complaints against Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. These complaints have been lodged in Punjabi Bagh, Tilak Nagar and Parliament Street police stations. BJP Scheduled Caste Front President Mohan Lal, Sikh Cell and ST Cell's CL Meena have filed this complaint against Rahul Gandhi's statement on SC-ST and OBC reservation.
Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi had given a statement during a program organized at Georgetown University in Washington DC, which caused controversy. In his statement, Rahul Gandhi had said that 'When India becomes a fair place, Congress will consider ending reservation. Rahul Gandhi said that India is not a fair place right now. 90 percent of the population in India is of Dalits, backward and tribals, who are not involved in sports.'
He had said that the caste census is an attempt to know how the lower, backward castes and Dalits will be integrated into the system. Of the 200 businesses in India, 90 percent of the country's population has no ownership. They also have no participation in the top courts. There is no participation of lower castes in the media as well. Explaining the reason behind the caste census, Rahul Gandhi said that we want to understand what is the social and economic condition of the backward and Dalits... We also want to see Indian institutions so that India's participation in these institutions can be estimated.
