After campaigning in Jharkhand and Maharashtra, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started campaigning for by-elections in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. He will continue campaigning for assembly election seats till Sunday. During this time, he will address many rallies. He started it from the Mirapur assembly constituency of Muzaffarnagar. Yogi Adityanath will create an atmosphere in favour of the BJP by addressing three public meetings every day. In Mirapur, he fiercely targeted the Samajwadi Party. He said, "Wherever SP is seen, the daughter is scared..." Yogi Adityanath has already addressed public meetings on all the seats where by-elections are being held. He had participated in government programs organized on these seats before the implementation of the code of conduct.

Yogi Adityanath said in Mirapur that SP and Congress should speak on the incidents of the Kashmir Assembly. You must have seen the resolution passed in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly recently, which says that they will re-implement Article 370, which means that the terrorism that is rooted in Article 370 was abolished by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 5 August 2019. He said that Congress and SP should clarify their position and put their point on this.

He said that between 2012-2017, a slogan was in vogue, "If there is a SP flag on the vehicle, then understand that someone is sitting there..." CM Yogi said that today I can say "wherever you see SP members, there the daughter is scared..." You must have seen their exploits... you must have seen the scene in Ayodhya... you must have seen in Kannauj, this is the new brand of Samajwadi Party... they have no shame. Look at the social media handles of SP and see what kind of narrow thinking and poor mentality is visible.

Apart from Meerapur, Yogi Adityanath also addressed election meetings in Ghaziabad and Kundarki. Even before the announcement of by-elections, Yogi Adityanath has addressed government programs on all these nine seats. During this, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth crores of rupees. In the first phase of election campaign, Yogi Adityanath will address election meetings in Karhal, Khair and Sisamau on Saturday. On the third day, Sunday, he is scheduled to address election rallies in Katehari, Phulpur and Majhawan. After this, the programs for the second phase will be decided.

The Election Commission had earlier fixed November 13 as the date for voting in the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Later, because of the festive season, the date of voting was changed to November 20. The counting of votes will still be done on November 23. On the same day, the counting of votes for the elections being held for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly and assembly seats of some states and voting on two Lok Sabha seats will also be done. CM Yogi Adityanath will campaign for another round in Uttar Pradesh. Its program will be released later. Both the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state have already campaigned on these seats.

By-elections are being held on nine seats in Uttar Pradesh. These seats are - Sisamau, Katehari, Karhal, Kundarki, Phulpur, Ghaziabad, Majhawan, Khair and Meerapur. By-elections are being held on eight of these seats because the MLAs have been elected to the Lok Sabha. At the same time, by-elections are being held on one seat because the MLA who won in 2022 has been sentenced. This by-election of nine seats is being considered a semi-final before the 2027 assembly elections. The main contest on these seats is believed to be between the ruling BJP and SP. In some places, BSP is making the contest triangular. SP is contesting on all nine seats. At the same time, the BJP has left the Meerapur seat for its alliance partner Rashtriya Lok Dal. BJP itself is contesting on the remaining eight seats.
