CM Nitish Kumar-led Bihar Govt approves 3 important schemes for minorities

Administrative approval granted for the construction of a girls' hostel in Aurangabad, beautification of Waqf properties, and parent meetings in minority-dominated areas.;

The Government of Bihar, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, is continuously striving for the overall development and welfare of the minority community of the state. Steps are being taken by the government for the social, economic and educational upliftment of minorities through various schemes. In this sequence, today on 03.01.2025, a meeting of the Departmental Standing Finance Committee was held in the auditorium room of the department under the chairmanship of Secretary, Minority Welfare Department, Bihar, Patna. In the said meeting, administrative approval was given to the following schemes: -

1. Approval of the scheme for construction of 100-bed minority girls hostel in Aurangabad with estimated amount of ₹ 872.12 lakh (eight crore seventy two lakh twelve thousand rupees).

2. Under Bihar State Waqf Development Scheme, approval of ₹39.56 lakh (forty nine lakh fifty six thousand rupees) only for beautification and boundary wall work of Dargah Hazrat Makhdum Syed Shah Sultan Ahmed Charamposh Waqf State No.-2931, Chishtiana, Bihar Sharif, District-Nalanda.

3. Approval of ₹1100.00 lakh (eleven crore rupees) only for conducting and implementing dialogue and parent seminar program in minority hostels in minority dominated districts and minority dominated identified blocks/urban bodies.
