CM Nitish Kumar Launches Second Phase of Pragati Yatra in Gopalganj

Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for ₹140 Crore Worth of Development Projects, Promotes Women Empowerment Through Jeevika Initiatives.;

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today started the second phase of Pragati Yatra from Gopalganj district. During the Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 72 schemes in Gopalganj district at a cost of about Rs 140 crore. These include the inauguration of 61 schemes at a cost of Rs 7169.080 lakh and the foundation stone laying of 11 schemes at a cost of Rs 6733.670 lakh.

During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Industrial Training Institute, Sidhwalia Gopalganj's administrative building, workshop building, staff hostel, canteen block, principal residence, vice principal residence, boundary wall, access path, site development (with rain water harvesting), furniture and furnishing work at a cost of Rs 21.60 crore under Saat Nishchay by unveiling the stone plaque related to it. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed building of the Industrial Training Institute.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister inspected the workshop. The Chief Minister took information about the work done by hand shearing machine, metal cutter machine, pillar type drill machine, center lathe machine in the workshop. In the premises of Industrial Training Institute Gopalganj, the Chief Minister unveiled the plaques related to the inauguration and foundation stone laying of development schemes of various departments.

The Chief Minister said that a very beautiful building has been built. It should be maintained regularly. Here housing facility for the staff has also been provided, so that the teaching work continues on time. Every kind of arrangement has also been made available for the students here. New technology related machines have been installed for the students to get training.

After this, the Chief Minister visited Pokhara Tola of village Pakri of Sidhwalia block and took stock of the developmental schemes done. During the review, the Chief Minister inspected the Pakri Pokhar renovated under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan. During the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to construct a stepped ghat in Pakdi Pokhar, so that people can easily reach the water of the pond. During this, the Chief Minister also planted saplings near Pakdi Pokhar.

He said that we started the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan in the year 2019. Under this, the work of renovation of all public wells, ponds, ponds etc. was started. Pakdi Pokhar has also been built well. During this, the Chief Minister released fish seeds and ducks in Pakdi Pokhar. The Chief Minister also inspected the Anganwadi Center located in Ward No. 8. On this occasion, the Chief Minister observed the stalls set up by various departments.

The Chief Minister provided a symbolic cheque of Rs 4 crore 31 lakh 11 thousand 755 to a total of 1431 families of Gopalganj district under the Sustainable Livelihood Scheme. The Chief Minister gave the approval letter to Jeevika Didi's regarding the free allocation of 3 reservoirs constructed under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan in Gopalganj district to Jeevika supported village organizations in Vijayipur block for the next 5 years. The Chief Minister gave a symbolic cheque of Rs 141 crore related to financial assistance through bank linkage to 40280 Jeevika Didi's associated with 7050 Jeevika self-help groups. Along with this, the Chief Minister gave a symbolic cheque to the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister's Pond Fisheries Special Assistance Scheme.

The Chief Minister participated in the dialogue program with Jeevika Didi organized in Pakri village. Jeevika Didi informed the Chief Minister about the income and facilities being received through self-help groups. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, Jeevika Didi said that through Jeevika groups, you are working for the upliftment of all of us women. We all thank you for this. By joining Jeevika, not only has our income increased but the respect of women in the society has also increased.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the community building cum library in ward number-8 of Pakri village by cutting the ribbon. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the community building cum library and took information from the officials regarding the facilities provided.

During the Pragati Yatra, local public representatives, leaders and district administration felicitated the Chief Minister by presenting him a bouquet of flowers.
