CM Nitish Kumar Launches Development Projects Worth ₹563 Crore in Begusarai

Inauguration of 641 Schemes, Hospital, and Sports Complex Highlights Third Phase of Pragati Yatra; Focus on Women's Empowerment and Infrastructure Development;

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today, in the course of Pragati Yatra, gifted developmental schemes worth Rs 56328.558 lakh to Begusarai district from the newly constructed building complex of Begusarai Block cum Zonal Office. During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 641 developmental schemes through remote. This includes the inauguration of 214 schemes worth Rs 18128.666 lakh and the foundation stone laying of 427 schemes worth Rs 38199.892 lakh.

In the course of Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Government Building at a cost of Rs 1 crore 35 lakh 39 thousand 600 in Maniappa Gram Panchayat located in Matihani block of Begusarai district through remote. After the inauguration, the officials gave detailed information to the Chief Minister regarding the facilities provided in the newly constructed Panchayat Government Building.

In the premises of Panchayat Government Building Maniappa, the Chief Minister inaugurated the sports complex built by MNREGA at a cost of Rs 9.69 lakh through remote. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister took stock of the sports complex. During this, the Chief Minister talked to the girls who were getting training in Judo Karate for self-defense in the sports complex premises. During the conversation, the Chief Minister said that many works have been started to promote sports and players in Bihar. To encourage the youth towards sports, not only the state government is giving financial help but players are also being given government jobs. Earlier, no work was done to promote sports and players in Bihar. After the year 2005, work was done for the development of every sector in Bihar. Today no area is deprived of development.

The Chief Minister observed the stall set up by Jeevika Didi in the Panchayat Government Building premises. During this, the Chief Minister talked to Jeevika Didi. The Chief Minister said that when I got the opportunity to work in Bihar, in the year 2006, we took a loan from the World Bank and formed a self-help group. We named the women who joined it as 'Jeevika Didi'. The central government of that time appreciated its work and ran it in the whole country under the name 'Ajeevika'. Jeevika Didis have gained a lot of confidence and there has been a lot of change in their speech, lifestyle and living style. During this, Jeevika Didis also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that we are getting a lot of benefit from the formation of self-help groups, all this is your contribution. You have done a lot for our livelihood. We will always be grateful to you for this.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister handed over a symbolic cheque of Rs 48 crore 50 lakh under Community Investment Fund for 56 thousand 260 sisters of 4850 Jeevika Self Help Groups, a symbolic cheque of Rs 603 crore 61 lakh under bank loan for 2 lakh 43 thousand 452 sisters of 22 thousand 132 Jeevika Self Help Groups, a symbolic cheque of Rs 9 crore 30 lakh for Livelihood Investment Fund for 1897 beneficiaries of Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, registration certificate of Jeevika Mahila Vikas Swavalambhi Sahakari Samiti Limited, keys of e-rickshaw to the beneficiaries of Sustainable Livelihood Scheme. The Chief Minister inaugurated the construction work of pond beautification cum staircase ghat at a cost of Rs 146 lakh from the convergence of MNREGA and Panchayati Raj Department through remote. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the pond. During this, under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Yojana, the Jeevika Sponsored Mandap Jeevika Mahila Gram Sangathan was given the approval letter for the transfer of the pond and fish seeds were released in the pond.

While inspecting the pond, the Chief Minister said that this pond has been beautified in a very good manner. Stairs-like ghats have been built all around it. This will provide a lot of convenience to the people. Along with this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the construction work of Child MNREGA Park near Mochitola in Ward No. 5 of Village Maniappa at a cost of Rs 9.31 lakh through remote. The Chief Minister also inspected the water tower built under the Multi-Village Water Supply Scheme Matihani. During this, the Chief Minister observed the stalls set up by various departments. The Chief Minister gave the message of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' by releasing balloons from the stall set up by ICDS Begusarai. During this, symbolic cheque of Chief Minister Inter Caste Marriage Incentive Grant Scheme, symbolic cheque of Chief Minister Disabled People Marriage Incentive Grant Scheme, key of battery operated tricycle under Sambal Yojana, symbolic cheque of Rs 2 crore 56 lakhs to 128 beneficiaries of Chief Minister Udyami Yojana, symbolic cheque of Rs 70 lakhs to 70 beneficiaries of Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme, Bihar Student Credit Card, Ayushman Card, symbolic cheque (natural death) under Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, symbolic cheque of Chief Minister Minority Student Incentive Scheme, key of bus provided under Chief Minister Block Transport Scheme, symbolic cheque of Rs 1 crore 68 lakhs to 42 ex-gratia grant beneficiaries were given to the beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister also inspected the site from Singhma T Point for the proposed widening of Begusarai Bypass (Gupta Lakhminia Bandh) and gave many necessary guidelines to the officials. The officials informed the Chief Minister about the proposed widening of Begusarai Bypass through the site plan. During this, the officials also gave detailed information to the Chief Minister about the widening and strengthening work (including high level bridge construction) of Teghra-Mubarakpur road under Begusarai district and widening and strengthening work from BTPS Chakia (NH-31) to Lakhminia Ballia, widening and strengthening work of Dalsinghsarai-Kaiderabad-Malti road.

 

After this, the Chief Minister did an aerial survey of Kawar Lake located in Cheriabariyarpur block of Manjhaul subdivision of Begusarai district. After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the 75-bed subdivisional hospital, Manjhaul, costing Rs 1053.33 lakh, by unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister also inspected the hospital and took detailed information about the arrangements there. During this, he took stock of the nursing desk, X-ray room, OPD, delivery room, ultrasound room, vaccination center etc. The Chief Minister flagged off 7 ambulances for the sub-divisional hospital. During this, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the 'Jeevika Didi Ki Rasoi' being operated in the sub-divisional hospital. He also inspected various stalls of the Health Department including Chief Minister Bal Hriday Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Card Yojana in the sub-divisional hospital premises. The Chief Minister observed the presentation regarding the renovation and beautification of Kavar Lake Ashrayani. During this, the officials gave detailed information about its format to the Chief Minister.

After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed building of Begusarai Block cum Zonal Office costing Rs 1841 lakh. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected various parts of the newly constructed building and took information about the arrangements there. During this, the Chief Minister inspected the Revenue Office, Zonal Office and Development Office etc. located in the premises of Begusarai Block cum Zonal Office. The Chief Minister said that this building has been built very well, now people will get all kinds of facilities at one place. Also, all the problems of the people will be resolved at one place, which will be convenient for them. From the premises of the Block cum Zonal Office itself, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of the developmental schemes of various departments related to Begusarai district in an integrated manner through remote.
