CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates First Convocation of Bihar Engineering University
Toppers Awarded Degrees, Medals, and Laptops; Initiative Highlights State’s Commitment to Advancing Technical Education and Student Success.
Chief Minister-cum-Chancellor, Bihar Engineering University, Shri Nitish Kumar inaugurated the first convocation of Bihar Engineering University today by lighting the lamp. In the ceremony, the Chief Minister felicitated the toppers of the engineering examination by awarding them degrees, medals and laptops. A short film based on the achievements of the department prepared by the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education was screened in front of the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister released the book of Bihar Engineering University. In the convocation ceremony organized at 'Samvad' located in the Chief Minister's Secretariat, Secretary of the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education, Dr. Pratima felicitated the Chief Minister by presenting him a green plant and a memento.
At the end of the program, the students who were to be honored got a group photo taken with the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister congratulated and wished the honored students and wished them a bright future.
It is worth mentioning that under the Seven Nischay program of the Bihar government, Government Engineering Colleges have been established in all the districts. It was the vision of Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar that a separate independent engineering university should be established in the state so that along with regular sessions of teaching and learning, the quality of technical education can also be improved. Keeping this in mind, Bihar Engineering University has been established under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar. Every possible effort is being made by the Department of Science Technology and Technical Education to promote technical education. High-level infrastructure, high-quality laboratories, workshops and smart classrooms are being built in each engineering college. As per the vision of the Chief Minister, the engineering college is being made fully residential where hostels and accommodation for teachers are being constructed. In engineering colleges, training is also given in providing quality education and various types of new technologies. Along with studies, attention is also being paid to sports, yoga training and mental health for the all-round development of the students. These positive efforts of the government have had an impact on the employment of students. A large number of students are being employed in good institutions.
