Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar has expressed happiness over the famous Maithili litterateur Shri Mahendra Malangia getting the Sahitya Akademi Award for the year 2024 and extended his best wishes. Maithili litterateur Shri Mahendra Malangia, a resident of Malangia in Rahika block of Madhubani district, has been given the Sahitya Akademi Award-2024 for his Maithili essay category "Prabandh Sangrah".
The Chief Minister said in his congratulatory message that this is a matter of great pride for Bihar. The son of Bihar getting the Sahitya Akademi Award in Maithili literature will inspire the new generation. He has said that all the people of Bihar are proud of this achievement of the writer belonging to Bihar.
