Chief Secretary Inspects Hajipur's Competence Exports, Encourages Expansion and Local Market Integration

Safety Shoe Manufacturer Supplying Russian Army Plans Expansion to Triple Workforce and Diversify Production

Chief Secretary Mr. Amrit Lal Meena today inspected Competence Exports Private Limited, a safety shoe manufacturing company in Hajipur Industrial Area. This company supplies safety shoes to the Russian Army. This company also exports safety shoes to England, Netherlands and France.

During the inspection, many senior officials including Principal Secretary of Planning Development Department Mr. Senthil Kumar, Director of Industries Mr. Alok Ranjan Ghosh were present with the Chief Secretary.

The Chief Secretary first observed the cutting portion of the company. After this, the stitching, molding, casting, soling and packaging counters were inspected.

During the inspection, he also talked to some artisans working here.

The Director of Industries gave information about this company to the Chief Secretary.

Unit Representative Mr. Dhananjay Kumar Patel said that there are currently 300 artisans working in this company in Hajipur, out of which 200 are women artisans. He said that our safety and fashion shoes are in great demand in European countries. The company is also going to manufacture gloves and complete army dress under its expansion plan. After this, the number of working artisans working here will increase from 300 to 900. He told that imported machines are used in the manufacture of shoes here.

The Chief Secretary said that the company should look for opportunities to consume its products in the Indian Army and in our country as well. All possible help will be provided by the government and the district administration.

He directed that solar systems be installed on the roofs of all units. He directed the DGM, BIADA to take necessary action soon for long term maintenance for cleanliness and maintenance of the entire Hajipur Industrial Area.

He said that a meeting should be held with all the units every month. Ensure uninterrupted power supply in the industrial area.

On this occasion, District Officer-in-charge cum Additional Collector Mr. Vinod Kumar Singh, Additional Collector (Disaster) Mr. Arun Kumar Singh, District Information and Public Relations Officer Mr. Neeraj, SDM, Hajipur Mr. Rambabu Baitha, DGM, BIADA Mr. Anand Kumar, General Manager, District Industries Center, Vaishali Ms. Sneha and many representatives of the company were present.
