Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Maa Vishhara Bhagwati Temple and Lays Foundation Stones for Key Projects in Saharsa
CM Announces Annual Temple Festival, Unveils Infrastructure Projects Worth Crores
Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the ancient Maa Vishhara Bhagwati temple located in Gram Panchayat Diwari of Kahra block under Saharsa district by unveiling the stone plaque. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister prayed in the temple and wished for peace and prosperity of the state. During this, the Chief Minister announced that now the Tourism Department will organize Vishhara Bhagwati Temple Festival here every year.
The Chief Minister visited the premises of the ancient Maa Vishhara Bhagwati temple and took stock of the developmental works. The Chief Minister planted saplings in the temple premises and released fish seeds in the pond located in the temple premises. The Chief Minister said that the beautification of the temple premises has been done in a better way. Now the devotees coming here will not face any kind of inconvenience, they will feel good coming here.
After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of the schemes of various departments in Gram Panchayat Amarpur located in Kahra block by unveiling the stone plaque. The Chief Minister unveiled the foundation stone for the construction of a high-level RCC bridge on the Kosi river between Khajur Deva Chowk and Deng Rahi Ghat in Saharsa district at a cost of Rs 414.74 crore. He also unveiled the foundation stone and laid the foundation stone for the model police station building to be constructed in Saharsa district at a cost of Rs 5.67 crore.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the dredging work of the government pond located near Panchayat Government Bhawan Amarpur under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan by unveiling the plaque. During this, the Chief Minister also released fish seeds in the pond. The Chief Minister instructed the officials to construct a stepped ghat on the banks of this government pond and plant dense trees around it. He said that we have renovated and beautified the government ponds through Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan.
During the program, the Chief Minister observed the exhibition organized by various departments. During the observation, the Chief Minister provided symbolic cheques of Chief Minister Special Assistance Scheme, Chief Minister Integrated Chaur Development Scheme, Chief Minister Pond Fisheries Development Scheme and Chief Minister Block Transport Scheme to the beneficiaries. Symbolic cheque of Rs. 62 crore 43 lakhs to 1738 Jeevika supported self-help groups, Under the Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, the Chief Minister provided symbolic cheque of Rs. 1 crore 12 lakh 57 thousand to 306 targeted families to Jeevika sisters.
