CBSE Expected to Announce Class 10 and 12 Results by Mid-May for 42 Lakh Students
Scorecards Will Be Available on Multiple Platforms as Board Follows Historical Pattern of Simultaneous Result Declaration;

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to announce the much-anticipated Class 10 and 12 board examination results for over 42 lakh students who took the exams between February 15 and April 4, 2025. Following historical patterns, both results are expected to be declared simultaneously around mid-May. Students can access their scorecards through multiple official platforms including cbse.gov.in, DigiLocker, and UMANG app.
Previous years' data shows girls consistently outperforming boys, with the Class 12 pass percentage at 87.98% and Class 10 at 93.60% in 2024. To pass, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject, with grace marks available for those who narrowly miss the threshold.
The board has not officially announced the result date, historical patterns suggest a mid-May release. In previous years, CBSE has consistently declared results around the second week of May – with 2024 results announced on May 13 and 2023 results on May 12. The only exception was 2022, when results were delayed until July 22 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Both Class 10 and Class 12 results are expected to be released simultaneously.
