Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) will host a one-day Mission Karmayogi Workshop on 7 January 2025. The workshop, organized in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), will be attended by around 100 delegates, including Central Administrative Training Institutes (CTIS), State Administrative Training Institutes (ATIS), and senior officials from across the country. The workshop aims to advance the goals of Mission Karmayogi.

Mission Karmayogi, a visionary initiative of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, aims to qualitatively change the way public service is delivered, shifting from a rule-based approach to a role-based approach. The mission underlines the importance of continuous learning and upskilling to enable civil servants to deliver efficient, citizen-centric governance. Through this workshop, participants will discuss the key components of Mission Karmayogi, its achievements so far, and the feasibility of state-level implementation to strengthen the governance framework.

The workshop will include presentations from Central CTS and State ATS showcasing the latest practices and success stories aligned with the objectives of the Mission, including strategies for designing citizen-centric training initiatives tailored to the specific needs of different States. These insights are aimed at providing civil servants with the necessary tools and knowledge to address emerging governance challenges.

Shri Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, the Capacity Building Commission, will inaugurate the workshop and emphasize its importance in furthering the vision of Mission Karmayogi. This event is an important step in promoting collaboration among States and institutionalizing a culture of continuous learning and development in the civil service.

As the nodal training institute of Bihar, BIPARD has consistently demonstrated its commitment to capacity building. In addition to this workshop, BIPARD has recently organized several impactful conferences, including the National Conference on Data Driven Governance in October 2024 the National Conference on New Criminal Law in November 2024, and a collaborative conference with development partners in December 2024. These programmes highlight the leading role of BIPARD in addressing critical issues of national importance.
