Greater Noida: Bihar Tourism is showcasing the state's diverse cultural tapestry and hidden gems at the ongoing South Asia's Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2024. The event, held from February 22nd to 24th at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, provides a platform for Bihar to connect with potential tourists and industry stakeholders.

Visitors to the Bihar Tourism booth can embark on a virtual journey through the state's rich history and vibrant culture. From the ancient ruins of Nalanda University, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the serene beauty of Vikramshila, Bihar boasts a wealth of historical and archaeological treasures.

The booth also highlights Bihar's unique festivals and traditions, offering a glimpse into the state's vibrant cultural landscape. Visitors can learn about the iconic Chhath Puja, a harvest festival celebrated with immense fervor, and the soulful folk music that resonates across the state.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Prem Kumar, a representative from Bihar Tourism, said: "We are delighted to be participating in SATTE 2024 and share the beauty and diversity of Bihar with the travel industry and potential visitors. We are committed to promoting responsible and sustainable tourism practices, showcasing the hidden gems of our state while preserving its rich cultural heritage."

Bihar Tourism's participation at SATTE 2024 is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the Bihar Foundation, Government of Bihar. This collaboration highlights the collective effort to promote Bihar as a must-visit destination for domestic and international travelers.

Bihar Tourism is highlighting several key initiatives at SATTE 2024, including:

Promoting pilgrimage tourism: Bihar is home to some of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world, including Bodhgaya, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. The state is also working to develop other pilgrimage circuits, such as the Jain pilgrimage circuit.

Showcasing cultural heritage: Bihar boasts a rich cultural heritage, reflected in its traditional art forms, festivals, and cuisine. Visitors to the booth can learn about these unique aspects of Bihari culture.

Highlighting eco-tourism opportunities: Bihar is home to a diverse range of natural ecosystems, including national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, and wetlands. The state is promoting responsible eco-tourism initiatives to attract nature lovers and adventure travelers.
