Bihar Minister Reviews Information and PR Department, Stresses on Effective Public Outreach

Today, the Hon'ble Minister of Information and Public Relations Department, Shri Maheshwar Hazari reviewed the departmental works with the departmental officials. During the review, the Hon'ble Minister was informed in detail by the Director of Information and Public Relations Department regarding the work being done by the department. The Hon'ble Minister directed that the schemes and achievements of the government should be made available to the people by making proper use of the allocation received under the Special Publicity Campaign, Special Component Scheme and TSP Scheme.

The Hon'ble Minister praised the folder prepared at the department level related to the schemes and achievements of various departments and directed that a folder of the schemes and achievements of all the departments should be prepared and distributed in the areas for the information of the common people. Along with this, publicity should also be ensured in remote areas through hoardings.

The Director of Information and Public Relations Department informed about the action plan of the department in the direction of social media platform as well as outdoor publicity. It was told that Bihar is at the second place on Facebook and YouTube in comparison to the Public Relations Department of all the states in the entire country. The Hon'ble Minister expressed satisfaction over the work being done by the department on social media platforms and encouraged it to achieve the goal of getting the first position in the country by increasing its reach in future.

PR agency, integrated website and agencies working for e-advertising were also reviewed in detail.

The Hon'ble Minister directed all the officials to ensure proper use of print/electronic media as well as social media and other new media to ensure the reach of the welfare schemes of the government to the remote areas of the state, so that all people can become aware about the welfare schemes run by various departments.

All the officials of the department including Secretary of Information and Public Relations Department, Shri Anupam Kumar, Director, Shri Amit Kumar, Joint Secretary, Shri Vidyu Bhushan Chaudhary, Joint Director, Shri Ravi Bhushan Sahay, Special Officer, Shri Kumaril Satyanandan, Deputy Director, Shri Lal Babu Singh were present in the review meeting.
