Bihar Makes History with Appointment of Three Transgender Sub-Inspectors
CM Nitish Kumar Honors Three Transgenders Among 1,239 Newly Appointed Sub-Inspectors, Paving the Way for Inclusivity in Police Recruitment
Bihar has created history on Monday. For the first time in the country, three transgenders have become sub-inspectors. CM Nitish Kumar today provided appointment letters to 1239 newly selected sub-inspectors including three transgenders. For this, a program was organized by the Home Department in Bapu Auditorium. During this, CM Nitish gave appointment letters to three transgenders. In which there are two transmen and one transwoman.
Manvi Madhu Kashyap is the first transwoman to have received the post of sub-inspector. Ronit Jha and Bunty Kumar: Ronit Jha and Bunty Kumar are two transmen who have also been appointed to the post of sub-inspector. Bihar will be the first state to give appointment letters to three transgenders. CM Nitish has given them appointment letters in the appointment letter distribution program organized by the Home Department and Police Headquarters.
On this occasion, both Deputy CMs Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Sinha and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, besides senior police-administration officials were present. Nitish Kumar gave appointment letters to the newly appointed sub-inspectors in the program organized in Bapu Auditorium. Today, a total of 1239 newly selected candidates were given joining letters.
During this, CM Nitish said that we would like to tell the officers to do the recruitment quickly. We say that elections will be held next year, so do the recruitment completely before that, so that the number of women in the police becomes 35 percent. In total, 2,29000 will be recruited.
