Bihar Introduces 'Tithi Bhojan' in Mid-Day Meal Scheme
State Education Minister Launches Initiative to Promote Nutrition and Awareness Every 100 Days in Schools;
Under the mid-day meal provided to children in schools by the Bihar government, it has now been decided to provide 'Tithi Bhojan' to the children every 100 days.
The purpose of Tithi Bhojan is to underline a special day of national or local importance and through this, children are to be made aware of the importance of nutritious food and equality and the welfare schemes of the government regarding education.
Today, on 16 August 2024, 'Tithi Bhojan' was organized from 12 noon by the Principal-in-charge of Parthu Middle School, Punpun, Patna, Mrs. Babita Rana Raj and the school committee, whose Chief Guest was the Information and Public Relations Minister of Bihar Government, Honorable Shri Maheshwar Hazari ji, along with the member of the State Level Program Implementation Committee and Women JDU President Dr. Bharti Mehta ji, Block Education Officer, Bihar JDU Secretary Vinita Steffy Paswan ji, MDM in-charge Siyaram ji, Mukhiya Pinky Devi ji of Parthu, Block President Committee and other dignitaries were also present in the program.
The Block Education Officer, MDM Incharge, BRC Staff, Local Head and people associated with the Education Committee were honoured by the Minister.
