Bihar Government Honors Top Students of State Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges with 'Meritorious Student Incentive Awards 2024'

The Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education, Government of Bihar, organized the 'Meritorious Student Incentive Award-2024' distribution ceremony on September 18, 2024, at the Indira Gandhi Science Complex, Planetarium, Patna. The event recognized 64 top-performing students from state engineering colleges and polytechnic institutions for their academic excellence in the state-level B.Tech examinations.

In a ceremony graced by prominent dignitaries, including Hon’ble Minister Sumit Kumar Singh, Secretary Dr. Pratimaji, and Vice Chancellor of Bihar Engineering University Dr. S.K. Vermaji, students who secured the top three positions were awarded cash prizes, certificates, mementos, and medals.

Award Highlights:

First Place: ₹5,000

Second Place: ₹4,000

Third Place: ₹3,000

A total of 32 students from state engineering colleges and 32 students from government polytechnic institutes were honored for their remarkable achievements. The award ceremony emphasized the Bihar government's commitment to encouraging academic excellence and fostering a culture of innovation among students pursuing technical education.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Sumit Kumar Singh, congratulated the students and highlighted the importance of quality education in driving Bihar's development. The presence of several senior officials from the Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education underlined the significance of the event.
