Bihar Education Department Opens Online Transfer Applications for Teachers on Special Grounds

The Education Department of the CM Nitish Kumar-led Government of Bihar has started the online application process for transfer under special circumstances of teachers working in government elementary and secondary/higher secondary schools of the state. As per the order of the Director, of Primary Education Pankaj Kumar, teachers can apply through the e-Shikshakosh portal (https://eshikshakosh.bihar.gov.in) from 01 December 2024 to 15 December 2024.

Application Process and Instructions:

Login on Portal: Teachers log in to the portal using their teacher ID and click on the "Request for Transfer on Special Ground" button.

OTP Verification: The OTP sent to the mobile has to be verified to start the application.

Option Selection: Teachers can select up to 10 places for transfer, in which it is mandatory to give at least 3 options.

Special circumstances: While applying, teachers have to select one of the following grounds:

• Serious illness (cancer, kidney disease, heart disease, etc.)
• Disability or mental health problem
• Widow or deserted female teacher
• Transfer to the place of spouse

Data correction: If there are errors in the profile, immediately contact the concerned District Education Officer.

Representation upload: It will be mandatory to upload a scanned written representation after all the required information.

Application process: 01 December 2024 to 15 December 2024

Modification facility: The "Modify Application" option will be available after application.

The director, of Primary Education informed that transparency and timeliness in transfer will be ensured through this process. Interested teachers can apply within the time limit.
