Bihar CM Nitish Kumar inspected the projects under construction near Patna Junction

Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inspected the underground road (subway) and multilevel hub under construction near Patna Junction.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister obtained detailed information from the officials regarding the progress of construction work, including escalators, lifts, entry and exit routes to be installed in the subways, and other facilities to be provided to passengers.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister directed the officials that after the completion of the subway, it would be much easier for the people to reach Patna Junction. All kinds of facilities are being provided in the subways, which will enable people to move easily in the area around Patna Junction, and they will get rid of congestion.

The Chief Minister then inspected the multilevel hub. During the inspection, the officials briefed the Chief Minister in detail regarding the updated progress of the construction work of the multilevel hub. The Chief Minister also inspected the subway and multilevel hub from GPO Golambar flyover and Hanuman Mandir flyover. 

It is to be mentioned that under Smart City in Patna City, a subway is being constructed to connect the multilevel hub near GPO Golambar to Patna Junction. The main objective of this project is to develop the traffic system under the Patna Junction Railway Station area. A newly constructed multilevel hub is being constructed near Patna GPO Golambar, a major hub connecting various traffic sources. The multilevel hub provides parking for city buses, autos, taxis and private cars. From here, a subway is being constructed to connect Patna Railway Station and Mahavir Temple, Buddha Smriti Park. This place is quite crowded. Crossing the road remains a major challenge for passers-by.

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Deepak Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Anupam Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Kumar Ravi, District Collector Patna Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, Chairman Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Ltd. Shri Shirsat Kapil Ashok, Municipal Commissioner Shri Animesh Parashar during the inspection and other senior officers were present.
