Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Expresses Grief Over the Death of 3 Workers in Ganderbal Terrorist Attack
Announces Rs 2 Lakh Compensation and Additional Benefits for Families of the Deceased, Urges Coordination for Worker Safety
On Sunday, 3 workers from Bihar died in a terrorist attack in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep grief over the death of the workers.
On Sunday, terrorists opened fire on the workers engaged in tunnel construction in Ganderbal. A total of 7 people were killed in this attack, out of which three workers were from Bihar. At the same time, CM Nitish Kumar has announced compensation for the Bihar workers.
In a statement issued by CM Nitish Kumar, it has been said that 'The death of 3 workers from Bihar in the terrorist attack in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir is sad. In this terrorist attack, instructions have been given to give Rs 02-02 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to the closest dependents of the three dead.
Along with this, other benefits have also been asked to be given as per rules from the schemes run by the Labor Resources Department and Social Welfare Department. Prayers to God to give strength to the bereaved family to bear patience in this hour of grief. The Resident Commissioner, New Delhi has been directed to ensure proper arrangements to bring the bodies of the deceased to Bihar by establishing necessary coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir government.
CM Nitish Kumar expressed deep concern over this attack on laborers in Jammu and Kashmir and said that such incidents are extremely sad and condemnable. He said that all the concerned states and central agencies of migrant workers should work in coordination to ensure safety so that such incidents do not happen.
The state government has assured all possible assistance to the families of the workers killed in this attack. Along with this, the CM has appealed to the victim families to maintain patience in this difficult time.
