Bihar Chief Secretary Reviews PM GatiShakti Master Plan Progress and Land Revenue Data Integration

Comprehensive Meeting Highlights Geo-Referencing Tools, Database Enhancements, and Inter-Departmental Coordination

A high-level review meeting was held at Purana Chivalry under the leadership of Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena to discuss the adoption and progress of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP) and land revenue data integration for Bihar. The meeting, attended by key officials from various departments, focused on aligning departmental efforts with the vision of PM GatiShakti and improving the accessibility of land revenue data for the public.

The session began with a comprehensive presentation outlining the government’s vision for PM GatiShakti, showcasing the progress made so far and the benefits of the scheme. The presentation featured detailed project maps and data on district geo-referencing, highlighting the role of new technologies and tools that are transforming infrastructure development and resource management in the state.




 


Focus on Geo-Referencing and Data Accessibility

Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena reviewed the current status of Bihar’s land revenue data, emphasizing the need for all relevant departments to maintain up-to-date and accurate data while ensuring easy public access. He stressed the importance of integrating departmental portals with the PM GatiShakti portal, which would streamline data management and facilitate better planning and development across the state.

“The integration of departmental portals with the GatiShakti portal will enhance transparency and improve efficiency in data handling. Geo-referencing tools and database improvements are essential for providing a solid framework for Bihar’s development,” said Meena during the meeting.

Roadmap for Future Enhancements

To further enhance the utility of the GatiShakti portal, Meena directed officials to prepare a detailed outline of the requirements for geo-referencing tools and database upgrades. He also encouraged the Industry Department to fully leverage the potential of the portal and its resources.

Secretary of Industry Department, Smt. Bandana Preyasi, along with Industry Department Director Alok Ranjan Ghosh, was present during the meeting, along with senior officials from other departments. They discussed strategies for improving inter-departmental coordination and ensuring that data is used efficiently to support infrastructure development.

The meeting concluded with an action plan to integrate more comprehensive data sets and tools into the PM GatiShakti portal, ultimately aiming to streamline Bihar’s infrastructure development and make government services more accessible to the public.

The adoption of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan in Bihar is expected to fast-track infrastructure development by improving coordination among various government departments, enhancing data accuracy, and utilizing cutting-edge technology to drive economic growth.
