Today on 11.04.2025, under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Bihar, a review of the situation of severe heat and heat wave in the state and pre-preparation for possible drought was done in the auditorium located at the Chief Secretariat.

Through a presentation by the Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management Department, the concerned departments were informed about the action to be taken in the event of severe heat and heat wave and pre-preparation for possible drought. Also, all the district officials were directed to review at their level and assess the situation.

The Chief Secretary, Bihar directed all the departments to review at the departmental and regional level. Expressing grief over the deaths caused due to heavy rains, thunderstorms and lightning on 10.04.2025, the Chief Secretary directed all the district officials to pay the amount of ex-gratia grant today itself.

Additional Chief Secretary/ Principal Secretary/ Secretary/ Special Secretary/ Joint Secretary of Health Department, Education Department, Social Welfare Department, Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Water Resources Department, Information Technology Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Labour Resources Department, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, Rural Development Department, Panchayati Raj Department, Energy Department, Urban Development and Housing Department, Information and Public Relations Department, Additional Director General, State Fire Directorate, Bihar, Patna, Additional Director General of Police, Director, India Meteorological Department, Director, Bihar Meteorological Service Centre were present in the meeting and District Officers and Senior Superintendents of Police/ Superintendents of Police of all the districts participated through video conferencing.
