Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Pays Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on His Birth Anniversary at Gandhi Maidan
Leaders and Ministers Join in Honoring the Father of the Nation with Pledges to Uphold His Ideals; Cultural Programs Mark the Occasion
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar garlanded the huge life-size statue/picture of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Maidan in Patna and remembered his personality and deeds. Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar also took a pledge to implement his ideals in his life.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Chaudhary, Assembly Speaker Mr. Nand Kishore Yadav, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Rural Development Minister Mr. Shravan Kumar, Rural Works Minister Mr. Ashok Chaudhary, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Mrs. Leshi Singh, Information and Public Relations Minister Mr. Maheshwar Hazari, Transport Minister Mrs. Sheela Kumari, Minority Welfare Minister Mr. Jama Khan, Legislative Councilor Dr. Khalid Anwar, Legislative Councilor Mrs. Kumud Verma, Legislative Councilor Mr. Ravindra Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddharth, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Kumar Ravi, Chairman of Shia Waqf Board Syed Afzal Abbas, former General Secretary of Bihar State Citizens Council Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh, former member of Bihar Child Rights Protection Commission Mr. Shivshankar Nishad and many social and political workers garlanded the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and paid their respects to him and paid tribute.
On this occasion, Aarti Poojan, Bhajans, Kirtans, Bihar songs and patriotic songs were sung by the Information and Public Relations Department. The Chief Minister also met Mr Suresh Kumar Hajju who was dressed as Gandhiji.
