This parking will be directly connected to the parking built near Buddha Smriti Park and Patna Railway Junction through the subway. People will not face any inconvenience in going to Patna Junction after parking their vehicles. With its construction, people will get relief from the jam around Patna Junction. People will also have the convenience of going to Hanuman Temple.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to complete the construction work expeditiously. Solar plates should also be installed on the roof of the multi-level parking so that the electricity requirement here can be fulfilled.
After this, the Chief Minister inspected the under-construction subway of Patna Junction from the multi-level parking. It is known that the objective of this project is to develop the traffic system within the Patna Junction Railway Station area. A multi-level parking (hub) is being constructed near Patna GPO Golambar, which is a major center connecting various sources of traffic. There is a provision of city bus, auto, taxi and private car parking here, from where a subway has been constructed to connect Patna Railway Station and Mahavir Temple, Buddha Park. The total length of the subway from the multi-level parking to Patna Junction for passengers is 440 meters. There will be 4 travelators in it, whose length is 18 meters, 30 meters, 45 meters and 55 meters respectively, i.e. a total of 148 meters. Number of escalators - 02 and number of underground box area lifts - 02 (near Mahavir Mandir exit and near multi-level parking). There will be provision of health ventilation air conditioning in the underground length. There will be entry/exit arrangements from 03 places - near multi-level parking, Buddha Smriti Park and next to Hanuman temple near Patna Junction. With the construction of this subway, train passengers will have ease of movement and they will not have to face traffic jam anywhere. Pedestrians will be able to reach multi-level parking using the subway and travel to various places, avoiding the traffic jam at the railway station.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that this subway was being constructed because of the problem of traffic jams near Patna Junction. This place is very crowded, due to which it is difficult to cross the road and there is also a possibility of an accident. For this reason, the subway was conceived.
