Bigg Boss Winner Elvish Yadav in Fresh Trouble: Money Laundering Case Filed by ED

YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 champion Elvish Yadav finds himself in hot water once again. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated a money laundering investigation against Yadav in connection with the infamous "snake venom-rave party" incident.

The ED will reportedly scrutinize Yadav's collection of high-end vehicles as part of the probe. The investigation will extend beyond Yadav, with owners of large hotels, resorts, and country residences also facing potential questioning by the authorities.

According to a report by Hindustan Times (HT), a top ED official confirmed the filing of a case against Yadav and others under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The action stems from the substantial amount of money allegedly involved in the controversial party.

Revisiting the Snake Venom Controversy

Earlier this year, in March, Elvish Yadav was arrested by Noida Police and placed under judicial custody for 14 days concerning the snake venom case. The raid stemmed from a complaint filed by the People For Animals (PFA) NGO in 2023. The raid targeted a banquet venue in Sector 51, Noida, and resulted in the apprehension of five individuals.

Initial Charges and Denial

The PFA named Elvish Yadav in their FIR, accusing him of organizing rave parties that attracted international guests and involved the presence of dangerous snakes. The Noida Police initially charged Yadav under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a law known for its stringent bail provisions for those suspected of involvement in drug-related activities.

Yadav strongly denied the accusations, calling them "baseless and fake." However, the charges were later dropped by the police, who cited a "mistake" on their part.
