These samples have been sent to Jhansi State Laboratory for comprehensive testing and evaluation.'

What is the Tirupati Balaji Temple’s Prasad controversy?

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu had alleged adulteration of animal fat in the Tirupati Balaji temple prasad during the NDA Legislature Party meeting. However, former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy called it political rhetoric.

The board managing the country's richest temple revealed on Friday that it had found adulteration of poor quality ghee and animal fat in the samples sent for quality check. The claim of adulteration of animal fat in Laddu was made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. After the previous YSR Congress Party government was accused of this issue, former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy called it politics to divert attention and a fabricated story.

The prasad is not offered by any devotee in Ram temple, but cardamom seeds are distributed to Ram devotees as prasad. The Peda or Rabri Prasad offered at the Ram Mandir is prepared by the sevadars and the priests.
