Noida: The lives of approximately 5,000 residents in the Indosam 75 and J.M. Aroma societies in Sector 75 are severely impacted by illegal operations in their vicinity. A construction site across from these societies is allegedly running an illegal weighbridge and warehouse, leading to a continuous flow of large trucks on local roads. This situation has made daily life intolerable for residents, who now face the constant threat of serious accidents.

On October 26, a trailer carrying ready-mix concrete overturned at a nearby turn, almost crushing several vehicles beneath it. Fortunately, residents managed to rescue themselves from serious injuries, underscoring the urgent need for intervention.

Every morning, children wait at bus stops to go to school, facing significant dangers from the heavy vehicles passing through the area. The high volume of traffic not only poses immediate risks but also contributes to severe air pollution.

Despite multiple notifications sent to relevant authorities via Twitter and email regarding the blatant violation of GRAP II guidelines aimed at controlling pollution, no action has been taken. The air quality has deteriorated significantly, leading to increased respiratory issues among residents, particularly affecting those with pre-existing health problems. Furthermore, the people safety is at paramount risk.

In response to the ongoing issues, residents filed a complaint with the Sector 113 police station on the night of October 27. However, there has yet to be any response or action regarding their grievances.

Residents are calling for immediate action to address these illegal operations and improve safety standards in the area to protect their community from further harm. The situation in Sector 75 reflects a broader concern about urban management, people safety and the enforcement of environmental regulations in rapidly developing regions.

Under the circumstances, residents are planning to do peaceful protest in front of this menasance site.
